Top Dreamforce '21 Announcements
Dreamforce 2021 came to an end last week with full-fledged releases, launches, and announcements. There were a lot of learnings, fun, and festivities alongside networking with trailblazers after almost 2 years of a standstill.
We cannot wait to share with you all that has happened in the past week. Let’s have a look at the top announcements by Salesforce at Dreamforce, 2021.
Salesforce Merchandise Collaboration with Slack
Salesforce plans to integrate Slack into the majority of its products and industry clouds this year and into 2022, according to the company's announcement.
Users of the Corporate and Institutional cloud tool can collaborate and share account details in a Slack channel, and users of the Corporate and Investment Banking cloud tool can install Quip documents into Slack. Users of the Commerce Cloud can warn colleagues about order difficulties and business trends, while users of the Experience Cloud can receive notifications when new material is created that can be shared with organizations and individuals.
Episode One of the Salesforce Robotic Process Automation (RPA) series
In August 2021, Salesforce launched Servicetrace. Salesforce's cloud strategy now includes robotic process automation (RPA) and workflow automation products. IT service management (ITSM), security operations, sales, marketing, and other functions can now be automated in innovative ways for partners and end customers. Salesforce will compete with companies such as ServiceNow, Automation Anywhere, and UiPath in the RPA space. It's safe to assume that the summit will include tactical recommendations.
Episode Two of the Salesforce Robotic Process Automation (RPA) series
Salesforce released new Einstein Automate products ahead of the conference, declaring that they will “help every Salesforce customer, regardless of technical background, use low-code tools to automate time-consuming, manual processes and integrate data across systems right from their digital HQ.” MuleSoft RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Einstein Document Reader, and Digital Data Integration are among the innovative features.
Salesforce Access Control & Information security
The cloud backup, Business Disaster Recovery (BDR), and data protection software company OwnBackup will be well-represented at the Dreamforce convention. OwnBackup raised $240 million in August 2021, with the key shareholders being Salesforce Ventures and Insight Partners, which is proven to be the primary investor in cloud backup. OwnBackup purchased RevCult, a Salesforce privacy software firm, in early September 2021. Cloud Security Cockpit for Salesforce security controls and Shield Security Cockpit for encryption management are two of RevCult's products. Salesforce Shield development and commercialization and Salesforce cybersecurity risk assessments are also available from the organization. The OwnBackup-RevCult partnership combines SaaS-based backup, data security, and espionage capabilities.
Integrated Robotic Operations in Salesforce (RPA)
Salesforce bought Servicetrace, a developer of robotic process automation software, in August 2021. By the end of October 2021, the deal is scheduled to be completed. According to Gartner, global RPA software revenue will reach $1.89 billion in 2021, representing a 19.5 percent growth over the previous year. Salesforce's cloud strategy now includes RPA and workflow automation tools. Novel approaches to automating IT Service Management (ITSM), security operations, sales, marketing, and other processes help partners and end customers. Salesforce will compete with ServiceNow, Automation Anywhere, and UiPath, among other RPA companies, as a result of this acquisition.
Salesforce announced three new Einstein Automate products just before the conference commenced. This was done to “help every Salesforce customer, regardless of technical background, employ low-code tools to automate time-consuming, manual procedures and connect data across platforms right from their digital HQ,” according to the official statement. MuleSoft RPA, Einstein Document Reader, and Digital Process Automation are the most recent offerings.
Deals encompassing Salesforce Partners in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
Conventions are usually a good place to talk about mergers and acquisitions and investments. Prior to the event, there was a lot of merger and acquisition activity among Salesforce partners. Things may heat up as IT consulting firms, cloud integrators, and Independent Software Vendors rush to complete M&A agreements before Congress implements a prospective capital gains tax hike in the US tax law. IBM, ConvergeOne, EPAM Systems, Accel-KKR, Booz Allen Hamilton, Infostretch, Allant Group, RMS US LLP, OSF Digital, VntCap Technologies, Computer Design & Integration, Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, Infostretch, Allant Group, RMS US LLP, OSF Digital, VntCap Technologies, Computer Design & Integration (CDI). and others have been major buyers and investors in the Salesforce ecosystem thus far in 2021.
Internet Services Management (ITSM), Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM), and Cybersecurity Software
Tanium and Salesforce released IT Service Center in March of this year, a hybrid platform that includes ITSM, RMM, and cybersecurity features. Salesforce's ITSM skills will most likely be pitted against ServiceNow's, and this endeavor will pave the way for PSA (professional services automation), RMM, help desk, and CRM capabilities to coexist on the Salesforce cloud platform. Tanium's moves at the Dreamforce Conference were extensively scrutinized.
Technology for Field Enterprise Solutions
New capabilities have been added to ServiceMax Asset 360 for Salesforce. The new features “better equip customers to exploit asset data across the organization, breaking down data silos and helping customers get the most out of their assets,” according to the company.
Integration Marketing by Oracle
Oracle Fusion Marketing was announced in conjunction with Dreamforce-2021. Fusion Marketing is the first marketing automation tool that is meant to bypass the entire lead qualification and conversion process, allowing marketers to easily develop campaigns that include traditional marketing and advertising channels. Fusion Marketing may also generate a valid sales funnel in any Cloud platform.
Salesforce launched Foyer
Salesforce has unveiled Foyer, a developer toolbox, as part of their acquisition of Slack. Foyer lets developers use their existing Salesforce knowledge to construct Slack apps in a more efficient manner. The purpose of Foyer is to speed up development and allow Salesforce developers to create Slack apps that easily connect to Salesforce using the skills they already have. Foyer helps with this by offering an SDK for UI development as well as a robust service proxy that automatically produces the endpoints required to run your Slack app.
The Customer 360 Solution from Slack
360° Slack-First The solution combines the power of Slack and the Salesforce platform to provide a comprehensive solution for businesses. All parts of company workflows are powered by this platform, including Sales, Service Marketing, Commerce, Analytics Integration, Partners. Reinstall with Salesforce
Salesforce has launched a new data recovery service dubbed ‘Backup and Restore,' which is built into the Salesforce Platform. Backup and Restore, according to Salesforce, “automatically makes backup copies of company data, helping an organization to restore data and recover from even worst-case circumstances with just a few clicks.” However, it's unclear whether Salesforce Backup and Restore are related to Salesforce's OwnBackup transaction.
In 2022, GovSlack will be implemented.
Slack aims to release a version of Slack that runs in a government-certified cloud environment that meets FedRAMP High, DoD IL4, and other federal security and operational criteria, according to the firm. Next year, the ‘GovSlack' version will be released.GovSlack is projected to reach a broader public-sector audience than Slack Enterprise Grid. Salesforce is expanding its position in the public sector with the release of this new edition.
Slack Clips for Direct Messages are Now Accessible
Slack's Slack Clips product now allows users to record and share audio, video, and screen recordings in any Slack channel or direct message. Internal and external users alike can record and post clips to a channel for colleagues to watch at their leisure. Viewers can speed up or slow down the message, use live captions, and access a transcript to find certain parts of it. Users can respond to Slack Clips in a different medium, such as responding to a video message with audio or text, according to the business.
Lastly, Salesforce is known for making a difference in the world and this year is no different. Salesforce pledged to Combat Climate Change, Plant One Trillion Trees. We can dramatically reduce the planet's global temperatures, generate diversification, and recreate some of the planet's environment by conserving, preserving, and planting 1 trillion trees by 2030. 1t.org's mission is to build a platform that brings together stakeholders with the ability to organize large-scale reforestation and empower entrepreneurs and NGOs on the grassroots.
