Top 10 Pardot Features- Salesforce Winter '22 Release

Salesforce has released the Winter ’22 release notes recently. As expected the new release is jam-packed with amazing features. Our team has curated the top 10 Pardot features.

With the new setup assistance in Marketing Setup, getting started with Pardot is easier than ever. Also included are upgrades to automation and landing page builders, Engagement Studio support for drag-and-drop builder emails, and Einstein Key Accounts Identification on list views. The key account functionality, as well as mailability modifications, are now available to everyone.

To make great landing pages, use the drag-and-drop builder. In Interface Studio, use the new developer emails. Also, look into Pardot's extensibility and mailability upgrades. Here are the top 10 Pardot Winter ‘22 release features handpicked by our experts:

Using a drag-and-drop editor, you can create landing pages quicker

You can now create landing pages within the Pardot Lightning Experience if you're using the Pardot Lightning App. Users can build a landing page record in a few clicks when you enable the feature. Additionally, encourage users to start with saved templates and use approved pictures from your Salesforce CMS repository to keep on brand.

Where: This modification affects all Pardot editions.

How: When you enable the new Pardot content experience and Salesforce CMS connectivity, the landing page builder becomes available. You can use the new landing page builder right immediately if you're currently utilizing the drag-and-drop email editor in Pardot Lightning App. Simply go to Marketing Setup and follow the instructions under Content Setup if you're using the Pardot Classic builders.

Customize the Email Content Builder using your own components

Custom email components can now be created and used in Pardot's drag-and-drop builder. Marketers and managers can use bespoke components to generate more engaging email content for their consumers.

Where: This modification affects the Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions of Lightning Experience.

How: To configure a custom component to use in the Pardot email experience, define the metadata in <component>.js-meta.XML. Define a lightning__StaticEmail target and set <isExposed> to true.

Send Pardot visitors Slack alerts with successful actions (Beta)

Boost your pipeline with a completion action that sends a Slack notification to your team when prospects interact with your marketing materials. Send promising new leads to your sales team automatically, and share vital prospect activity data with your marketing department.

Where: This feature is currently in beta. In its own discretion, a customer may choose to trial such a Beta Service. Any usage of the Beta Service is governed by the Beta Services Terms, which can be found under Agreements and Terms.

How to get started: First, turn on the beta in Pardot settings, then ask your Slack workspace admin to set up a Slack app that connects to Pardot. Next, in Pardot, connect your Slack workspace and pick channels to set up the Slack connector. Sending a Slack notification comes as an option for completion steps on Pardot resources after the link is set up.

User Permissions in Pardot have been updated

New user rights are available as part of Pardot's mailability improvements: Modify Do Not Email field, Refresh hard bounce count, and Reset soft bounce count. Update Opted Outfield is now the user permission Toggle Opt-In Status. Users who had the Toggle Opt-In Status access earlier now have the Update Opted Outfield permission.

Where: This modification affects all Pardot editions.

How: Update Do Not Email field, Restore hard bounce count, and Reset soft bounce count are all included in the Pardot Administrator and Marketing user roles by default. When you select a specific user role, the Update Opted Outfield user permission is added for Pardot Administrators. Only sales users have the ability to update the Do Not Email field for prospects allocated to them.

Extend the Power of Your Automations with Pardot Extensibility Enhancements

You can now add valuable external prospect data from your third-party apps to your Pardot automation. Create a Marketing App Extension for any third-party app you use to collect prospect data. Then, for each activity type you want to record, fill in the blanks. For example, take data from your third-party webinar service to collect when a prospect attends a webinar and use it in any of your Pardot automation or Engagement Studio programs. External activity data can also be viewed on individual prospect records.

Additional activities allow you to make use of all of the useful prospect data you've gathered in third-party apps. Your Marketing App Extensions setup is adaptable, so you may customize it to capture the data that will help you get the most out of your Pardot automation.

Where: In Lightning Experience, this update affects the Pardot Plus, Advanced, and Premium editions.

How: Create a Marketing App Extension, assign it to a business unit, and create at least one activity type for the extension from Marketing Setup. Then, to assist you in connecting your third-party app, send your developer the sample API endpoint for the activity type.

List Views are a great way to learn more about Einstein Key Accounts

Einstein Key Account Authentication is now available to the entire public. This useful tool assists you in prioritizing your account-based marketing activities by assigning a tier score and providing insights into what traits each account shares with other successful accounts. The Einstein grade and insights are displayed on its record, and the tier field can be added to list views to quickly rank data.

The Einstein profile model takes into consideration your account record fields, opportunity generation data, and Pardot interaction data to determine the most important aspects that drive a satisfactory outcome.

Where: This update is available in Salesforce Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions, as well as Pardot Advanced and Premium editions.

How: In Marketing Setup, turn on the functionality. By default, the Einstein Key Accounts component is added to account records. The Einstein Account Tier field can be added to a public list view or to a user's preferred view. The tier field can also be included in custom reports.

Certain Datasets for B2B Marketing Analytics Have Been Updated

B2B Marketing Analytics and Object Sync for Pardot datasets have been updated. In the Forms and Form Handlers dataset, the Landing Pages dataset, and the Tags dataset, unique ID fields were removed and missing labels were added. We added user fields to the Prospect and Activity dataset, eliminated some duplicate values, and added missing labels.

Where: This update affects Salesforce Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions of Pardot Plus, Advanced, and Premium. It also applies to the B2B Marketing Analytics add-on in Pardot Pro and Ultimate editions.

For B2B Marketing Analytics and Object Sync for Pardot, changes to the marketing asset datasets are now available. For Pardot alone, the Prospect and Activity dataset was updated for Object Sync.

How: To obtain the dataset changes, users must reconfigure their affected apps.

In just a few clicks, you could prepare an Einstein discovery

The B2B Marketing Analytics Plus, Marketing Campaign Intelligence, and Account-Based Marketing apps' setup have been streamlined. With fewer processes and clicks, you can create an app and its related Einstein Discovery story at the same time. Your users can also change the settings of these apps from the dashboard.

Where: With Pardot Premium Edition or the B2B Marketing Analytics Plus add-on, this modification is accessible in Salesforce Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Users build their own B2B Marketing Analytics Plus apps in this way. To create a Marketing Campaign Intelligence or Account-Based Marketing app, open Tableau CRM, click Create, and follow the prompts. They can go on to something else once the process is completed. When the job is finished, we send an email.

The user experience has improved with the new app and narrative creation. However, juggling two jobs can take a long time. The generation process may time out if an app attempts to analyze tens of millions of data rows. If this is the case, increase the period for analytics procedures in Salesforce Setup.

Encryption Keys Should Be Brought to Pardot

To protect your Pardot data, bring and manage your own encryption keys. Bring Your Own Key for Encryption at Rest adds an extra degree of security to your Pardot account, as well as the ability to instantly erase data in the event of a compliance emergency.

Where: This update is only available in Pardot Premium editions for a fee.

How: From the Pardot Security settings page, add and manage keys.

Some Datasets for B2B Marketing Analytics Have Been Fixed
